Relocating the DSC button to the drivers side. Thought this wire wasnt going to be long enough but it was. Just lift the carpeting and pull the wire under it to the other side.

More pics...

I wasnt going to spend 80-100 or whatever it was for my audio input adapter. What i did was. Because i had XM radio put in last year. I went to radio shack and got head phone jack spliters. (WHITE WIRES) as you can see in the pictures above. And justed connected all the wires. When i want to listen to MP3s on my computer through the sound system. I turn on XM radio Push MUTE on it and my Computer plays. If i want to listen to XM i unmute it and press stop on the Media player on the computer. If im online and listening to what ever on XM i can still hear my computer sounds such as AIM or what not. then for the radio stations i turn off XM and just change to a station ex. 97.5 FM. but all my media audio plays through the same station as XM 88.5FM

I bought a Gateway Laptop its wired in the Back.

Wireless Keyboard.
Optical Mouse.
and LCD 7 inch screen.
AC Converter for powering both laptop my external DVD drive and LCD Screen.
I used the storage box to carve out a holer for the screen. and wiring for audio.
its pretty simple. If u ever want it done let me know we can arrange something.

Did you have any noise problems when playing mp3s with a/c converter?

You need to use Frodoplayer as your front end. Much less cumbersome that what you are using. Also, why not use a USB XM adapter? And get rid of the unsightly XM equipment you are using? Sorry I don't know what the name of that thing is...we don't have sat radio here.

NICE INSTALL

One question though...Why the hell would you put the DSC button there

Your knee is gonna turn it on and off like a hundred times while driving

not at lll i already explained that. m knee comes no where near it. and when i do need it on and off its very convenient cause when both hands are tied up i can slide my leg over and press the botton.

to be honest with you. the XM radio matches my red/orange guages and its a sliver finish like my dash. when its on it seems like the car at night is complete with it. with out it it seemed bare lol.. oh and i cant use a usb adapter as i expaned earlier i need XM on and Muted to hear things from my computer so i wouldnt have to spend 100$ on a audi input my car isnt equipt for already.
