Question on a helmet
Hey guys,
Im on vacation in Taiwan (somewhere in Asia) and a cousin has offered to give me his helmet, which he's never used. It's a motorcycle helmet that's pretty high end here. I was wondering if I could use it for any DE/autox events if I brought it back home. It's a full faced helmet, brand is Penguin, model PN-910 I can't find any stickers for Snell 95 rating or anything like that. The back Has 2 stickers. The first one has a serial number, and a big "S" on it, Then "600031". The second one I believe is a company logo. Some chinese letters, then "NCS" and "ISO 9002". I was hoping that since it's an approved motorcycle helmet it should be ok for use at the track or autox. Can anyone help me out? If I can't use it, i'll just leave it here, but if i could use it, itd save me some money and be really great Any help would be great. thanks -Will

If it does not say "SNELL" anywhere, it is useless in the US.

If it has an FIA homologation sticker it may be worthwhile, but since it's a motorcycle helmet, I doubt it will have an FIA sticker.

Look on the inside of the helmet. Sometimes they choose to hide the stickers.
It might look something like this. I couldnt even see the M95 part untill I took a picture with a flash |

cool, thanks guys. I'll try looking inside the helmet and underneath the lining for those stickers. If I don't see any, I guess i just wont take it and instead buy one back in the US
