IP Addresses posted for integrity

I've been probing some unusual threads/posts for activity and I have a very strong suspicion that some members may be posting using multiple ID's.

This can be solved by Admins by posting the user id IP address with their posts. I think it would go a long way to improving the integrity of the forum which may suffer drastic loss of value if it was posted publicly proof of this going on to boost certain situations.

It would be simpler if the IP addresses were posted along with the post.

You say report the post - well the post might not be a violation on it's own - the fact that it is being setup to support a later post under a different ID is the real issue.

You know what I'm getting at - A certain user and the same set of user ID's were very active last night at around 3:30am - funny thing is a user doesn't post for two months - drops into e46F in the middle of the night - makes one post - the post is a setup - look at other posts going on around the same time - same set of suspicious users - all have the same user in common.

It's like this - I setup a new user ID and post a question about a cooling issue. After everyone tries to help I come in with my real ID and post the solution - I then use my new fake ID to make praises and some of my other fake ID's to continue the scam. It's going on. The posts last night cemented it.

The question is how many ID's does this guy have. You'll know - you see the IP adresses. I'm suspecting at least 7 based upon the cross reference to posting times and days over 12 months.

Edit: Why does my user name now say OEM Member? I didn't upgrade??

And someone who was going to go to all this trouble could never spoof their IP address? You get the point I'm getting at.

If you want to PM me specific posts to look at I'm willing to investigate this but making IPs for everyone public won't be happening.

Good point spoofing IP's is relatively easy. Check the PM I send for post IP's.

Thank you for protecting our privacy. I understand what he's looking for, and this is the best of both worlds (blacklisting on your end)
