Melbourne cruise day 28th August 2016 - Mount Macedon

Hi guys, been 4 months since our last cruise day down Phillip Island so I'm organising the next cruise day on Sunday 28th August.

Meet up at 9am on Western Ring Road Maccas/7 eleven OUTBOUND for a cruise down Mount Macedon.

Doing this with my fellow e90 crew, but all are welcome (no Prius drivers please).
follow link for more info.
Hope to catch more of the e46 crowd.

That date conflicts with a bimmerclub drive.

You can combine drives!

I might be interested in this. Whats the drive like when you get to mount Macedon? Does it compare to the Great ocean road?

Unfortunately this one has been planned for some time now (on the e90 post calendar list of events), so date can't be changed unless weather is completely bananas.
A lot of events coincides with other events (I know the bmw ccv are holding car show on the same day).
I know that the bimmer club of Australia lunch drive is organised by a top bloke so it should also be a great turnout.

It's a nice cruise on the Calder freeway up to mount Macedon, then an awesome mountain climb with plenty of twist followed by a country scenic drive.

The Great Ocean Road is a great scenic drive along the coast but you really can't give the car a good squirt as it is very touristy with lots of buses and caravans, which I've done a few times. Having said this, we will be doing this cruise with an overnight stay sometime early in 2017.

Other great cruises and drive days we've also done in the past are:
Dandenong ranges, Yarra valley, the black spur, and the great alpine road.
All are very epic in their own rights.
