Correct. But thats because Police have done a 3 month training course in learning how to be come a police person. And as a part of the 3 month course the police do a 3 day advance driver training which teaches them how to control a vehicle with head lights and driving lights on !

Yeah I know, it p1sses me off sometime how they can get away with some of the sh1t they pull. I can understand in an emergency situation, but not when its just for the hell of it because they can or just because they have to get to maccas and back before it gets cold.

I think you will find that "additional lights" will encompass Driving lights

All motorcyclist ride around with their lights on and some companies have cars that lights automatically turn on in all situations (Telstra for one).

Bridgestones

So.... I've been offered Bridgestones at about 30% off RRP for any tyres.

As my current set of crap Pirelli Dragons are thankfully approaching end of life I will replace them and probably go 18" wheels of some sort (undecided which ones) and am considering the Bridgestones.

My basic considerations:
handling (Dragons are awful and unpredictable in the wet)
noise (doesn't have to be super quiet, nor do I want a roar in the cabin)
tyre life (I've got 60K+ out of the Pirellis)

Which tyre would be recommended?

Cheers

+1 on the contisport III. I got some very long milage out of mine and contrary to what others have said, they are def. not the loudest tyres (but they aren't silent either). They were very grippy too.

So no to Bridgestones? Despite the very favourable rates?

Ring around and see what you can get other tyres for, don'tjust settle on those because you heard about them first.

I bought my current contis from St George tyres, who were insanely cheap, they gave me 45% off what others had quoted. Give them a call

Time and time again we go through tyre threads
and I've gathered that PS2's and Conti's are the best daily drive tyres
ToyoProxesR888 are good if u want a semi.. Or the Yokohamas that taaxed have are also good
TMQ and Nath both use Marangonis and like them

I've heard KU36's arnt a bad semi semi slick

I've only had experience with PS2's and PS1 and Conti sport contact 2's

I use Marangonis too and they are very good for the price in wet and dry conditions.

If I could afford spending 2k every 6 months on tyres, I'd have the Conti's though.
