Ow...well good luck with it all.
They should cover it. Insurance companies are all cockheads. You pay so much money every year to be covered, and if one little thing isn't to their liking, they make it so damn difficult for everyone. We can say cockheads on here?

Take it to the council if you see you aren't getting anywhere with insurance?

If they accept fault then take it to Charlie Battistie and they will take care of the rest. Even if not its worth trying them as I had a very good experience with them.

Very sorry to see this happen to you N4NOOK. Best of luck with the insurance claim. I don't know your age or ins.rating, but the best thing is probably to just lodge a claim-the insurance co will deal with the council if they think it's worthwhile.
Hope it turns out OK for you

So apart from this guy getting the transmission wrong (SMG, not manual), what else could be wrong with it?
https://sell.carsales.com.au/pls/car...&cs_trans_id=2 2002 E46 M3, 114k km, $28,500

hi, name is ed,first time on aussie forum, looks like you all have fun discussing various problems etc, well, here is one of mine.i am the proud owner of a2003 e46 moved by an n42 engine, manufactured in america, after driving for a period of 3 month trouble free i may add, the first grimlets started to appear,ie, the rear indicator warning lights on the dash started to indicate a failure intermittendly .i checked the bulbs, checked connections, and found a burned earth wire, in the light cluster(rear) to make it short, after extensive research on this model, i found that a class action was pending in usa for using inferior wiring in all USA models 2002to2005)
a decision on compensation was to be handed down on june 30th 2010.checking up with BMW australia it was confirmed that the action in america was resolved, however that the law on reembursment does not apply to any vehicles sold in australia, what a bummer ,he, i mention this problem ,because unless the earth wire is replaced,at a cost of $800.00 there is a good chance of the wire overheating and causing signal failure, or worse still a fire starting in the boot.. |

Yes really I know what I got for my 2001 Manual M3 in January, and the prices have taken a dump over the last 6 months....
BobZ PS. The rest of the people that have early model M3 with over 100K are never going to get the money they are asking for. Or they find an idiot....
