Guys I'm still on the hunt for a Gruppe M airbox, if anybody knows somebody selling one locally, I'd be happy to snap it up!

Those modifications belong on a 90s WRX, not an ultimate driving machine!

The lower the number before the D the better. If you're seriously thinking about getting into photography you're way better off buying a used 50D or even a 5D MK I if your budget can stretch that far. Get some good glass like a 24-70L and you'll be set. There is nothing worse than getting the best shot that you possibly can, be it pan, framing, timing, lighting, creativity whatever and being let down by the overall quality of the image. At least if you have a great camera you can only blame yourself for sub par photos which is far less frustrating.

I do not disagree but it was offered brand new Aus stock for $299. Can't get more than a extended zoom digital "hybrid" camera for that money. (new with warranty)

Body only? You can get a used 50D for ~$500. Way better investment IMO.

I guess it depends what you're using it for. I just don't see the point of getting a entry level DSLR when point and shoot cameras are forever getting better and are far more convenient.

It's purely a marketing stunt, but none the less, you can't win if you don't try..
