ye i liked them

i still got them on the fronts.. but due to a puncture, i changed the rears, i rang up every tyre shop in melbourne, and none of them had PS2's in stock.. i had to wait weeks

so i ended up going with a similar priced Conti... which i havnt really tested yet.. but so far so good i guess

I had a little read up on the PS3's last night, compared to PS2's apparently they decrease your stopping distance in the wet by upto 3m (pretty impressive, althought details of speed etc have not been provided) along with improving cornering speeds.
In general the profile is a bit more pronounced along the edges too, whereas the PS2's looked almost like semi-slicks on the outside edges.

so basically the stopping distance is better by a car length
I always take these stats with a grain if salt ...
They must be more of a wet tyre ...

They look more of a wet tyre, but looks can be deceiving.
Think i'll reserve judgement until i see the numbers on tread contact %'s for inside & outside of the tyre.

I have manged to get about 15,000 klms so far and think I have another 5000 klms left. But mine is not Turbo.... and I get the allignment done every 10,000klm. I drive it reasonably hard and always turn the ASC off whenever I drive it

Here's a good comparison between the PS3 & PS2... Looks like the PS3 will be a winner if it's matching or bettering the PS2 in all facets, including mileage!

^^ thanks for those links.. i had a bit of a read

i still like the look of the PS2 pattern though... looks more slick like... the PS3 has more an all season look to it..

on another note... my thought of the day

Dont you hate it when u see an E46 coupe from the back and think.. hmm those LED's look good, i wonder what type they are, because i want them.. then you realise they are OEM...

Yeah, i'm pretty sure thats what gives it better traction in the wet.

Jack, delete the resonators, put in hotdogs, and change your rear box to a standard 330ci one, changes the note slightly but isn't obnoxious...

parents just bought an Alfa 147 Ti Selespeed...surprisingly fun car to drive. Alfa engine note sounds pretty nice, and the selespeed is actually pretty handy, just don't let it think for itself...holds onto gears way too long

nope, u just need to cover the bolt holes so theres no sharp protrusions.

and u dont need an engineers for a cage, providing its fitted and padded according to the relevant VSI (cant remember the number)

when mine was bagged id get 1500kms on one edge, then flip the tyre on the rim and mount on the other side for another 1500 kms.

Its not much better now actually. ive chewed through the insides of some conti's in a few months. i really should get around to dialing out some camber.....
