DDE in, but how "else" can it go on?

Hey everyone quick question... When you have your DDE's and install it, is it on automatically all the time even if you haver you set to OFF?

I mean my car has 4 positions for headlights,
1-Auto (headlights turn on when it's dark)
2-Off
3-Parking lights only
4-Headlights on

When you have your dde's when do they come on... Say it's 8pm and it's dark but i only want my DDE"s and not my headlights, i'd have to set it to 3(parking lights) but then the corners will be on as well

Say i want to spy on someone, will DDE's be off if i have it set to the 2(off) position???

Does anyone have PICS of custom installs, meaning a switch where the heat warmer and DSC buttons are... Or in the stearing wheel? Can you please post, because i was interested in putting one on next to the DSC buttone with a little light to let me know their on... Help would be GREATLY APPRICIATED.. ALso my question above ansere...

Thank you

PS UPDATE:still waiting for my DDE's T Edition, and took my lip spoiler to be painted already..

Most people have theirs wired up to either the fog light switch or the 12V Acc wire in the ECU box (they will be on all the time). The switch positions for your light have no correlation to your DDEs being on or off.

Hmmm...I am debating whether or not to have them on all the time or on just when the fogs are on. What do most guys do?

^I don't drive around with my fogs on all the time, so I have mine hooked up to be on whenever the car is on. The other option is to do a custom switch, but that's too much effort for me and I'd just keep them switched on all the time anyway.

Alright cool. I will go with the ECU box hookup.

Yeah.. its a lot easier to just have them installed on your ECU box..
I think that's how everybody got their DDEs hooked up...

Yes, I recommend to hook it up on the ECU and add a kill switch to turn it off whenever you don't want it on.

That's true, but what i mean is say i'm spying on somone, and i don't want my DDE's on... Then i'm pretty much SHietted on... Like Well accually... I like the idea that's it's on all the time, i just think it would be cool if it had a off button for "just in case" times. Anyone with custom installs switches?

Do you have something like that, kill switch?.. Yours is connected to your ECU right?

Question

Has anyone wired them so they only come on with your parking lights? That would make the most sense to me, and give you the most options.

If you could wire them to your parking lights you should be able to run all of the following configurations (unless I'm missing something):

*Halos on without headlights or fogs.
*Halos on with fogs, but without headlights.
*Halos on with fogs and headlights.
*Halos on with headlights, but without fogs.

You can do all this with the ECU connection.

I would like to know in case i EVER need them off, theirs a switch... the button i would use would probably be something like your harmon speaker button, and that little green light when it's on...
