in the end? without the mods put in, and cutting back on some stuff i could of done this for 20-21k, it cost me about 22-23k without mods, i replaced all the plastic moldings on the doors and bumper, the black window trim wasnt needed, i could of easily bought the chrome replacement peice and not the full black kit, there was lots of stuff that had small defects in them that i changed to new, i wanted to have that new car feeling. with all the mods in it though, i'm at the 30k mark. my reciepts for the car about about 7 inches high, one day i will tally it all up. the car cost me about 13,200 with tax btw

Thanks man! this may not be a thead about me re-doing my car into a widebody or super custom work, but it feels as if i did just as much work rebuidling this car, hopefully one day though i can do a widebody if i had the cash, i had the perfect oppertunity to widebody the car since it was hit and needed a full paint job, i also had the oppertunity to facelift it, but i had a budget, and i met it, and i'm happy with the outcome

i would like to add besides the body work, welding, and paint, everything else mechanically and electrically was done by me and my dad on jack stands in my backyard, including dropping the tranny down a tad and removing my intake manifold to put a new starter in, as well as bending the brake lines for the rear brakes, installing my new diff, exhaust, and installing my radiator, all the electrical was done by me, wiring up the tv's, and new sensors was done by me as well as doing my springs. before narrowing the problem of my car not starting to the starter, i was skimming through the wiring diagrams in the service manual trying to figure out what the problem was, i took out the whole dash to check the main wiring harness, in the end it was the dumb starter i feel that going this route, i know alot more about my car. i feel i know it inside and out... when something goes wrong, i can instantly know whats wrong with the car. i feel i can tackle anything on my car, i actually cant wait to dip into the engine. i've messed with honda engine's a little, but it would be a intresting project to go into the head of my bmw. i would love to drop my oil pan and put some locktight on that oilpan nut i read posts about, i just cant do it on jackstands

Wow dude... like I've said before, I love seeing fanatics work on their own cars. Coming from a muscle car world, this would be a normal restoration. But you hardly ever find anyone trying to restore a newer car, especially a BMW with expensive parts. It's awesome how you found great deals where you could (especially those non-OEM fenders which look great), and it's amazing that you even decided to undertake this job. I have more respect for you than anyone else on this forum. MAD props bro...

looks like u gave her a new lease on life! good work, hope it came out under the price of a comparable non-crashed 330, but even if it didnt, theres something to be said for all that personal time and effort that u put into a car u plan to hold onto for a long time

kudos!

more video monitors please!

Damn dude, that's a nice build. There seems to be quite a few industrious folks on these boards that take the time and put in the effort to do something special.

Nice work, hope you enjoy the car!
