im replacing the front door speakers and need to know the size?

hey guys and girls im replacing my front door speakers and i need to know the size? anyone know? also i have the H/K if it matters

I currently have 6 1/2 Diamond Audio S600 in my M3 without any major mods. I also tried MB Quarts 5 1/4 without any problems, but some beands such as Focals may require more modification even for the 5 1/4 midranges due to their depth. Your best bet is to figure out which brand of speakers you would want, then ask the board for opinions.

my installer said focal polykevlar will fit 6.5 inch in the front of sedans. But like anything if you go focal utopia 6.5 are near impossible in the front.

I have Boston Pro 6.4 in the front doors. Both woofer and tweeter fit perfectly and sound nice too

How about the size of the speaker in the non HK?
I mean whats the size there?

I got the MB quarts Q series 5.25 up front... The other day I compared the stock HK speaker to a 6.5 MB quart speaker from their DSD line and they were the same size. The bolt paterns on the stock speaker was the only thing that over hanged the Quarts when I had them facing each other.

im putting the new kickers in the doors. i kinda allready bought them, man i sure hope they fit!
