Has anyone made the coupe M3 mirrors fit a sedan?

They are the ones i really like, is it possible to put them on a 2000 sedan??? I know it will require some work - but is it feasable? Anyone done it?

Any chance M5 mirrors would be an easier fit?

John:

1) that license plate is PIMP. you are the man

2) I think I'm gonna! The M3 mirrors cost like $400 and ACS' would cost like $600ish (right?), so since I like the M3 ones better that gives me about $200 to use for custom fab.

Is that kind of fabrication possible? I have no idea how that would even be done. What kind of material is used? Any ideas of the type of place that would do it?

Or can I buy these ones from Japan...???

Anything is possible if u put ur mind to it.

What kind of material is used?
A new base needs to be made. I have seen some crazy things done with fiberglass....Thats the material i would use. As far as finding somewhere to do it for u...a local good custom stereo installation shop...should have a guy that custom builds with fiberglass. Either that or a body shops that deals in customizing....i would go where the old timers go...places that shave down 57 Chevys and the like...

I got them in a shop in LA. I bought my m3 replica front that fit perfectly so I decided to take another chance...They seem to be perfect fit.

They had a million of these laying around...for all sorts of cars, E36, E46, sedan/coupe...

These are all made in INDO I think, but the quality is pretty good. =)

I can get a set in CF or Paint M3 Mirrors for Sedan. I can get it from Hong Kong or from Japan. Both places has it. I will be getting mine from Japan this summer, if you can wait to see. They uses everything OEM, just the base needed to be custom made. I didn't see it in person, so I would think the base is fiber glass instead of plastic.

Btw, some people say they can't get it from Japan because you can't just deal with Studie Japan. They don't do export. But they do sell it locally. I usually ask my friend in Japan to go there and check it out. But, if you want him to get parts from you, he will charge you more than the listed price. However, if I'm getting mine in the summer time, I will go there myself or another friend will be going, therefore I can pick one up for you without extra charges. (BESIDE DUTIES IF APPLIED)

Sorry, I meant painted version. (Non CF) .
And one more thing, the one you can get in Hong Kong is fully replica, eveything is not OEM. Only the Japan version is using OEM parts with custom base.
