It should work with '99-2004 business CDs. You can't control playlists, have to select manually. However, once you're in a playlist, you can ff/fr, skip tracks, pause, play. Ipod automatically turns on when you select CD changer source, and turns off when you switch sources. The firewire cable allows you to charge the Ipod as well.
