Dang, lots of ballers in here. I'm 20 and I currently only make $11/hour as a teller (also expecting a promotion soon). But I'm also a full-time student.

I think it's really sad and pathetic how some of these younger members are blatantly lying. I mean c'mon you guys are driving E46s right? Not a Rolls Royce but shit it's still nicer than 90% of other cars on the road. Be honest with yourself and your peers. If you are not making what you would like you will get there someday.

Always remember, "you get out what you put in." That can be true for anything. Apply it to something. Be honest, work hard, and help people. That is what life is all about. (Yes, and the occasional M3 or so...)

Back on topic.

Age: 21
Income: Approx $10,000 yearly. (Mostly from parents as I am a full time college student)

However, I'm proud to say I started my first business back in October.
(for those calling BS on young business owners here is my business registration in the state of Oregon. http://egov.sos.state.or.us/br/pkg_w...&p_print=FALSE

I'm actually in a little start up debt because of my business (under $3,000). It's basically a credit card service providing company. I setup businesses to accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and debit + check cards.

I'm actively pursuing a degree in business, (hopefully in business finance) but not in the hopes of employment but to better understand my person business and industry (which I have been in for approx 3 1/2 years).

If everything falls through and I don't own a business I'd like to fall back on my degree and possibly get into marketing or finance.

Way to go Jared! It's nice to see someone from Clackamas County with a game plan.

I make 2.65 an hour because im a server... and it depends on the day and people what I make in tips.

Monthly average is about 1,000 to 1,200. And I have classes during the day... So im only working about 4 nights a week. And im 20 years old... So not too bad for now I think while attending college.

27 Years Old last year made $52K. Base is $44K with about $8K in overtime. 4 year Police Officer in a town of about 7500 people. Should easily clear $60K this year with 14% raise in June.

Hey, thanks for the nice comment! Another thing I do that I'm pretty proud of that not a lot of young people do is save! I throw about 10% of my income into my mutual fund which seems to be yielding about 7.5% yearly. (compounding interest in a beautifil thing, and I have time on my side.) I always tell my friends, "Take 10% of whatever you make a month and put it somewhere, bank, muthual fund, roth IRA, anything!" They are always like, "Oh I don't have money to save." Clearly on my 10K a year neither do I but I do anyway!

PS. Are they really in the 16? I might have to watch now because I havn't been keeping track. I have been way to pre-occupied with finals!

That wasn't directed towards me now was it????

And.....Lying about what? How much they make?

P.S. In the bay area, an E46 is only nicer than about 70% of other cars (IMO it's nicer than 95% )
I was told the average income in CA is around $50k to $60k a year and the national average is only around $23k (or so I was told by my assistant manager at work). So, living costs here are way higher because the average income is higher. They're building new homes right next to my neighborhood and a one bedroom house is $800,000! And there's nothing special about the location either (no view, nothing...just another neighborhood).

REALLY nice inside but yes, that's the price. However, I was told this was the price from my assistant manager who says he checked it out himself. I don't know if he's lying though. I personally didn't believe him but he isn't the type to lie. It's in Fremont right between the border of Newark and Union City. In the Ardenwood district.

My (really my parents') house is worth about $800,000 for 3 bedrooms but it's not that big inside. And, it's a little over 20 years old. So I guess $800,000 for a spacious brand new one-bedroom house wouldn't be too crazy.

Which part of Fremont? I'm not aware of any new one bedroom houses, only condos. Even those will not go for 800k.

It was just a genalized statement not made at one person per say, but I think the people (most) know the group in which I was reffering to. Example: "I'm 19 years old and working on a PhD," type of thing. (Who still hasn't explaind himself fully by the way.)
