E46 M3 Praxis Advanced Air Suspension

Praxis Air Suspension is part of my M3 motor project, but I figured some of the M3 guys would wanna see the kit and how it compares with coils...

First off...I'm pretty amazed with the packaging...its very well put together and it seems they spent a good amount on the instructions...So the kit comes in two boxes...the top and smaller one is for the front struts only...the bottom and bigger one is for the rest of the kit...including the brains and the rears...

The non-M E46 kit was released a few months ago and has very few differences with the M3 kit...most of the difference is in the front shock tower mount...the rear's are pretty similar...

Here's the front air shock assembly...

Here's a video squeezing the air spring...

Ok on to the big box...actually there are two boxes in the big box...the first one includes the compressor...valves...height sensors...control unit...and remote control...

In the 2nd half of the box...it contains the rear shocks and springs...

Rear springs...

Awesome, can't wait to see the updates on this! Are you going to do any more exterior mods once the engine and suspension work is done?

Yes, it just like PSS9 but you can adjust it automatically with the controller.

www.praxissystems.com

"Praxis allows the driver to select the height, spring-rate, and damping for whatever driving adventure lies ahead. There are no coil springs to change or spanners to carry, because the spring-rate and ride-height are controlled by air. It’s as easy as touching a button and turning a knob. Select one of three programmed ride-heights and spring-rates with a simple push of a cockpit mounted button. Then adjust damping by turning the adjuster that is conveniently located on each strut unit … you control the level of performance."

Which means that you have to get under the car and adjust these...no remote control dampening.

The Best Motoring drivers tried the Subaru WRX Praxis system on one of their shows, they weren't very impressed with the handling of however it was setup.

I wonder what kinda life expectancy this system has...a lot of money for the kit.
