The plates are same... this is because some people are allowed to have 2 of the same kind of plates... in this case it might be different but i remember on my street this guy had 2 identical saabs with the same plate
so i guess some people are allowed to have two of the same plate...

I think the rules havent changed... although im guessing u can ship your car from australia no problem...

nice pics btw... that CLS is alrite... i like how the exhaust is centered but not feeling the paint and rims although all round GREAT CAR!

The rules are changed now for steering conversion...
My friend imported a 2003 Subaru impresa WRX STI from Japan and he did the conversion
in a garage in alaweer ... but the traffic department didn't pass the car ..
They said.. you must change it in the dealer ...

then he took the car to the dealer to do the conversion .. and it cost him 30,000 Dhs ....

the new rules as I know says
* the car must be at least 2001 and upwards
* the conversion must be in the car dealer and a letter of conversion must be shown at the time of registration
* I think there are only few dealers who accept doing the conversion & am not sure about Ford



** personally I don't prefer steering conversion, the car will never be as it was built ... you will feel that there is something missing in ur car ..

why don't you buy A Lumina SS .. ((Holden over there in Aus)) .. "just got a supercharger kit for there and fit it " LOOL

thnx for ur userful info mates...Dubai: well the issue with lumina ss or the holden commodore wa eva u call, it is not as powerful as this baby the top of the range of holden are the supercharged HSV's whic is like AMG for mercedes and the same is the case with my car it is actually a supercharged version of ford falcon by Ford Performance Vehicle and the HSV is no where near this babyevn though its a smaller engine 5.4L than HSV's 6.0 L it produces 290kW =388bhp. and i reckon this car aint available in the middle east at the moment so was plannin to get it ova there and as u said i need to get it converted by the dealer gotta find out first if they can get it done. Btw are the supercharged HSV's being sold in dubai under the chevrolet's umbrella or SS is the top most category yet?

there is no supercharged version of HSV's here in UAE "chevrolet"
they are all standard engines the 5.7 LS1 325 HP
and the new Lumina coupe comes with LS2 engines 400 HP
