this ever happen to anyone?

So my girlfriend today bent her head down to pick up something and when she went back up she felt shooting pain in her neck down to her shoulder. We didn't think much of i because we thought it was one of those things when you move to fast your neck tightens and hurts for a little. Then she took an advil and icy hot and took a nap and she still feels the same bout 9 hours later.

She cant even move her neck to the regular standing up position. I tried to massage her and she took two hot showers to try to relax her muscles and relievethe pain but nothing worked. For some reason during the day, she felt a little better randomly, but then it came back.

Has this happened to anyone. She is starting to freak out.

you might want to get her checked out if it has been hurting her for this long

pinched nerve? similar thing has happened to me during basketball, i looked up and this crazy pain and cramping in the neck came on

All pain that women experience is blown out of proportion and dramatized, she probably has chaped lips....

yup you can pull a muscle picking up a piece of paper. She should just rest her back. Prop her feet up on pillows to releave the pain. If it doesn't get better, go see the doctor. Next time tell her to bend her knees when pickup up stuff off of the floor.

Could be anything from a pinched nerve to a badly pulled muscle. If it doesn't resolve itself soon, she needs to see a doctor.

I've pulled my lower back so badly that I couldn't stand up straight or move without searing/shooting pain spreading throughout my entire back and side.

sounds like whip lash. This happened to me once. My dad told me to lie down for 3 days, and slowly it came back to normal.
