remember: the only thing you need to listen to when buying speakers are the speakers themselves. it dosen't really mater what anyone else says.

plus, I didn't know AVI made car audio speakers. I know they make very nice home speakers, but not car speakers. what's the model number?

consider Dynaudio. once you get to that level of Focal and Dynaudio, you should really listen with your own ears, since build quality are excellent on both. IMHO, Dynaudio has better tonal qualities.

I would have to say Focal. Focals are carefully handbuilt in their factory in France. They manufacture their own materials and they have super qualty.

AVI.. get the BSM components... you can get the 160mm and they will fit rite into your stock locations.. The BSM will give you a more natural sound than the Focal.. If you go with the polyK line which i had.. i thought the tweets on them were a bit harsh..

they used to be bad@ss in Car audio but then stopped selling in US but recently started again.. they are based in canada.. and they are handbuilt too if memory serves...

well, if you're like me and order everything from the net, and don't have access to listening these speakers in person, my advice is that Focal Utopias are worth their price. Well, I got my 5.25 for $450, and they are the cleanest and clearest components sets I have ever heard.

Never heard the AVI, but I can tell you that you will not be disappointed with Focals. I only have them in stock locations, so midbass is not as good as my friend's, who has them in kick panels but it still sounds SUPER suweet!!!
