Dogs have dog food, cats have cat food... what about us? (You'll see what I mean.)

See... all these animals have specially formulated foods that give them their daily nutrition all in one shot. Humans, however, have to pick and choose carefully in order to maintain a healthy diet. Why haven't they formulated an all-in-one type food for humans? I don't mean Ensure or Carnation Instant Breakfast. I mean solid foods. And have a wide variety of them.

Selections for athletes, for people trying to lose weight, for people with jobs, for people who want to bulk up (instead of mixing a protein shake, followed with protein bars and spending time and money on extra food, just have the go-to solution).

Or does it exist and I've just been living under a rock?

Well... I can see why it didn't work. Sure, monkeys are similar to humans and all, but I don't think our dietary needs are the same.

Humans can prepare and cook a meal, stop being lazy and dumb. Also, take pride in the food you make, it might just come out better than you think.

I just think it would be a beneficial thing to have in the event you're hard-pressed for time or something. Grab your meal-in-a-bar (or whatever) and have at it. Something which is a healthy alternative to a sausage McMuffin (or other junk fast food).

And like I said before, it could be extremely beneficial to people trying to lose weight. I know they have those "Nutrisystem" meals ($9 to $12 a day), but why not make something more affordable?

I don't know where I'm trying to go with this. I'm fucking hungry and some jerkass drank the last of the coffee without making a new pot.

I think the real question is, why do humans feed animals at the zoo with "natural" foods it would eat out in the wild, while eating garbage and unnatural foods themselves?

I would assume the amount of sodium is outrageous in those things, though.

I wouldn't mind buying microwavable meals if they didn't have weird chemicals or 14 lbs. of sodium. Convenience is my goal so I can be more productive in other areas.

Subtract the excess sugars, add the full spectrum of vitamins and minerals, and you might be onto something.
