Need audio help

I have 2 12 inch JL W3's and a 500 watt Pheonix gold amp. Before I got my bimmer, I had this setup, plus a pioneer head unit and it bumped like crazy. Like it would literally causes dishes in the house to rattle out of the cabinet. Now, in my car, I have that same setup minus the headunit, and it does't bump nearly that hard. I adjust the bass using a knob on the amp. Did the people who installed it do a bad job or whats the deal here?

with the headunit you probably had a small 4 channel amp like 45x4 or 50x4. that gives you much more volume pplus bimmers are very well insulated so it probably wont rattle the plates in your house unless you have something crazy. btw before i had a different head unit i had much less volume then after i got my headunit

yeah that must be what it is. The head unit I had on the Tahoe was 45x4. I was thinking about getting a pioneer screen for the bimmer, but just decided against it.
Thanks
