Thanks,

Im not sure what the tred wear rating means, but I know STX needs a minimum of 140 tread wear rating. Is lower better?
The hankook ones you recommended are 200 tred wear, and the falken azeniz are the same, but 15 dollars cheaper per tire.

How is the hankook better?

In theory, a 400 wear tire will wear 4X longer than a 100 wear rating tire, But I understand it's really only valid within each manufacturers line of tires.
In any case, a 100 wear rating tire will usually wear out before a 200. My Toyo RA1 (R compounds) for the track are 100 (unshaven) and my Toyo Proxes 4s "all season performance tires" on the wagon are 300.......... My PS2s on the coupe I think are 240.

For high performance you usually give up tire wear, so you'll need to look between the 140 limit for the class and what you can find that will fit the car in your budget that's as sticky and therefore generally lower wear rating that you can find.

You could also check out Grassroots Motorsports, as they have a lot of focus on AutoX, and you may be able to get some good input there http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com
