225/45/17 all around?
Can I run 225/45/17s all around on my 01 330Ci Sport package?
Reason I ask is because I can get 4 BFG G-force TA KD 225/45/17 for $220. |

I believe you need to get new wheels for the back. I asked similar question a while ago and Gary mentioned the 225 shouldn't be on the wheels for 245...if my memory is correct

vaio - my track tires on the coupe are 235/40 17s on 17x8 OZ with a 38 or 40 offset and no problems. The wagon is 225/45 on 17x8 BBS with a 38 or 40 offset (I can't remember which wheel is which on offsets), and no issues there either. Both of these wheel / tire combos stick out further than the stock wheels...............The sport package on 325s is 225/45s all around on 17X8s too................
If you're going to stay with the factory sport wheels, you probably need to find another set of 17x 7 1/2s for the rear - I think you'll spread the 225 a bit much on an 8 1/2, but you'll only need one more since that's what your spare is.........

Yea my main concern was that the rear rims are too wide. There tires are a good deal but looks like ill have to skip over them.

You can mount 225/45R17 tires on the rear 8.5" wheels even though they'll look at bit stretched. Many do so for winter tire setups.
