yea you need a diagonistic tool or drop by autozone or a bmw mechanic. i went to autozone and they have the generic one and showed up nothing when i still had the check engine light. went to bmw mechanic and it turned out to be camshaft sensor.

That doesn't look like a P code, the 168, it lookes like a BMW code, in which case it is:

P0128 168 Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)

Just FYI: The codes mean different things for different ECUs, Creation Date, and Engine...

Thanks for the detailed info... I have the basic codes but couldn't find the BMW codes. I think it has to do with my SMG pump which has taken a dump.
