It was asked here but not answered, how do we get the PO or P0XXXX codes matched up with the ones that the Peake reader spit out? Peake gives out their own codes but it's like speaking a different dialect of the same language.

Generic reader gave me PO172 and 175. Peake reader gave me something else

front left or right mud flap torn off. should be a wire hanging almost looking like a thermometer. But like mine it wont look like that itll be half of that bucause you most likely torn it off with the bumper because it sits in a perfect rip position(almost 180 set angle turned back towards the wire). I still havent fixed mine but bmw will quote 400-500. go and by the sensor for 40 and buy the mud flap for prob a 100 and get a shop to install way cheaper.

My Code = P0442: evap control system leak detected ( small leak). I guess I will buy a new gas cap and see if that is the leak. my cap seems to vibrate lose, dont know why it's doing that all of a sudden.

Is there a way to view fault codes on my 1997 328i?
I just found this site today! A day too late! I wasted $45.00 on a justask web site. I'm glad to know that there are friends, like this site, that want to help each other out for FREE!!
