HELP fit a steering wheel with a round airbag into a 1999 328ci

Hi,

I am trying to fit a steering wheel with a round airbag into a 1999 328ci that has a triangle shape air bag.

The BMW dealer says they think it is possible due to the fact the round bag is a smart air bag and the triangle one is not.

Is there a way to retrofit the smart airbag into my car? The air bag light will not go out even after having it reset

I tried doing a search and the only answer I could find was to disconnect the battery which I definately did.

If anyone has any idea please Help
