Revisiting some photos as I work on some editing styles and I felt this really fit the photo. A time travel photo if you will...

I think I need to get the flash higher up in front of the car, I think I'm loosing too much detail on the driver's side front fender. (I know this pic is a cliche.)

Does anyone here use razzi.me?
I started last week. Actually a pretty good alternative to Flickr.

I would have no idea. This shiit blew up in front of my house.

You need to call them and ask if your department offers a ride-along program. I know just about every police officer will do it. I'm doing one in a couple of weeks again.

The problem is, you never know when there will be action.

Does it offer anything different? I have not personally tried it but it's kind of like Facebook to G+ for me. Everyone knows to get on Facebook and everyone knows Flickr houses some amazing photos. I get hundreds of views coming from only Flickr searches on a daily basis. Some days that is more than the links/google searches/etc.

IMO the car needs to be moved away from the bushes for 2 reasons. I assume you are light painting here? The bushes are covering up the wheels. The other issue is the lighting painting is being blocked by the bushes so the bottom of the car needs more light or has shadows on it.

YMMV

I like it because it's easy to use and stay organized. I like it because my flickr account is a mess so I'm starting a fresh one over at razzi to keep things organized.

And thanks for the comments.

Yup I've done numerous PD ride-alongside as that is one of my career options after I graduate. Thanks for the info though, might just use a scanner when im bored and see if something happens close by haha

Ah well that makes sense for you. Mine is overly organized into sets. I don't think I could switch.

I lucked out. The McDonald's literally exploded. Right in front of my condo.
My scanner used to be on all the time though. I was just curious back then, but if you wanna follow them to shoot, you might want to develop some sort of relationship with them before hand, letting them know your intentions.

Can't hurt. They might help you.
