speak to me edawg...this pic of these mountains was really this blue. I didn't do anything to the saturation. Should I have backed it down a bit?

I wish I had shot this with my canon eos 5d with filters......unfortunately it was with a casio Z750 because we had gone hiking earlier.

With my 5d I use a UV filter all the time and have a polarizing filter I use on occasion.

My first post on this page was with the 5d.

My first post on this page was with the 5d.
i suggested a graduated ND filter because the sky is way brighter than the shaded ground resulting in the details of the sky being nearly completely washed out. a graduated ND filter will be "tinted" on the top portion of the filter so that when you place the "tinted" portion over the bright sky, you will reduce the brightness of the sky and the resulting pic will have both ground AND the sky with properly exposed details, giving you a much more impressive photo. but since you used a point and shoot for that photo, it woulda been difficult to apply a filter to the setup anyway.
