Wound up getting horrible seats and spent the entire time out beyond 200mm, usually closer to 250, as well as fighting for a clear line of sight between all of the people standing and cheering as races progressed. Anyhow, I got what I got...that is what we get for showing up late. For those who are not aware, the guy in the white cap is Michael Phelps and the guy in the blue/silver cap is Brendan Hansen. Both WR holders in their respective events. They were not on WR pace last night which was to be expected but Phelps did take down two meet records while we were there...one of them was his own I believe.

I don't think I'd ever really seen this phenomenon before, so I made sure to take a photo to try to capture it.

The sun actually had this "ring" around it; this isn't a lens-effect. Maybe this is common down south where it's insanely hot routinely?

Might have to zoom a little to see them.

I've got a few myself at all ISO's. Two actually...that I am aware of anyhow. In nearly 6000 images there have only been a select few where I have noticed them and they are easy to paint out. Many people send their cameras back to Nikon to get the pixels mapped out or have their sensors replaced, but the reality is that the problem is bound to resurface again. In the end, it might be abnormal but in the grand scheme of things, it's par for the course.
