Hello & 1st Question re: SSK on 325xi

Hi everyone,

First time user, long time lurker. Love this board-everyone seems pretty friendly and helpful.

I'd like to put a SSK on my 2002 325xi, has anyone done this?

My concern is that today, looking underneath the car, it became apparent that one would have to drop the transfer case(?) and/or exhaust in order to be able to access the area in question! Can anyone that has done this before help?

I have yet to do it but I'm told it can be done without dropping anything. The process sounded like ti had a lot more reaching with screwdrivers and such to do it. The RD page says do not buy the SSK unless you are planning on getting your clutch replaced. I think the ones I've heard of being done were UUC's.
