In all seriousness, in the class that this particular flashlight plays in, it's at least 5X brighter than anything else.
The Arco x990 is rated at 3200 lumens (i.e., 7,000,000 candlepower).

And is unreliable, overly heavy, cumbersome to use, and has been around for longer than the one we're carrying.

For the size, quality, wattage 24W, and ergonomics this is the brightest flashlight out there.

Same factory makes them.
There are a LOT of technical differences between ours and this that go beyond the visual aspects of the light.

That light does not produce the same claimed output as this one. Side by side, this one produces a little more light output.

We've done the research, but you're welcome to continue to do your own.

Also, you should include some red light filters. Sounds like this would be excellent for military applications.

So it has to "warm up"?
Lets say I see someone skipping fences in my back yard, I have to wait for it to warm up?

We are working on that. Very good idea.

emthree - the brightness of the light even while it's warming up is just like any other flashlight, by 10 seconds it's 50% bright. Think about how you use flashlights and you'll realize this is not an issue.

Kilronan, I'll check into that for you.

Yeah, red light filters are crucial for military use. Make map reading easier at night since military maps are red light readable.

Yes, rail mounts for the picatiny rail system on the M4/M16 is a must. Also, a remote trigger option is also important such as a wired button.

I think that if you can do that, it would be very useful.

If you want, you can PM me and I can see if I can link you up with someone that might purchase these for military use.

The Luminos FireLight is actually a "AELight". Why are you renaming the flashlight?. The trademark name for this flashlight is PowerLight. I wonder what AELight would say if they see this thread.
