If you are blasting CO2 in the intercooler, and the air intake is very proximate to the back of the intercooler, would the CO2 that is taken into the intake create a performance decrease? I would think that the NO2 would increase performance a bit if it were to be taken in by the intake.

My intake in nowhere near my intercooler.

I don't think N2O entering your normal airflow tract would make any difference unless the compensating amunt of fuel was added, but a nitrous expert would be better suited to commenting on that.

I use the CO2 spray to reduce or defeat heat soak in between passes at the drag strip. It can be used to spray during the entire pass to keep the intake temperatures down, but I just use it before staging.

Yeah, I didn't think that it would make a material difference, but CO2 is a fire surpressant, whereas NO2 is combustable. The S/C setups I have seen place the intake a bit behind and to the right side of the car, looking from the front.

Yeah, see your point.

I am thinking of getting an E46 M3 once the E90s come on to the market and the prices drop. Such awesome cars. I had an E36 M3 6 speed and I loved it, looking forward to an E46 M3.

I'm thinking of getting the intercooler spray part because it's nice to have >100% efficiency with an IC .

Cooler intake temps = more advanced timing = more powah!

MrBlonde, how much boost are you pushing?

Not necessarially. That's dependant on the application (amount of boost).

Not always. You want the smallest intercooler that does the job you need.
