Awesome!!! We're twins!

You're gonna love it!!! I forget, are you going from stock suspension to the GC kit? If so, you won't believe the handling difference. I went from KW's to GC, so the diference was less apparent than if I went from stock to GC...

Boy, you are gonna be soooo fast now. Looking forward to hearing your impressions once you get them on the car.

Cool stuff - looking forward to your street and track handling reports. From the appearance, it looks as though they modify Koni's and build the set up off the shock / strut????

Not quite shure. Its depends when GC gets their Koni shipment in (supposedly today), and how long it takes to ship(i dont know which shipping i paid for, but I assume its ground). So maybe installed next weekend?

I feel kinda stupid right now because I think I might have ordered the wrong kit.

This is the kit I ordered(street/track): http://www.ground-control-store.com/...ion.php?II=693

This is the kit i discovered today(track/school): http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=692/CA=10

However, I have a feeling they're the same thing someone just mislabeled one of them. I must say GC website sucks, which is why I phone ordered.

Don't. Both of those kits looked to me to be the same, but with different prices. I would try to get the cheaper one! In my experience places sometimes send the E36 328i part because the E46 328i is sometimes forgotten, but I don't see how you could have ordered the "wrong kit."

Well not the "wrong" kit, but maybe missing out on a better kit for $70 more. I called them earlier but they were closed...time zones.

I think the only difference lies in the springs...

When I got my kit, they were calling it the "race/track" kit, now it looks like they're calling it the "track/school" kit. It's basically the same kit, but looks like the difference is in the springs that they are using.

Let us know what they say about the differences. I'm just as curious now...

Well, what's the difference then? I wonder how they justify the additional $70?

They still have your "race/track" kit http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=544/CA=10

I dont know what this whole "ERS" spring thing is either.

EDIT-just called and the ones that say "Ground Contol springs" are made to GC spec's(rate, barrel shape, etc) by Eibach, and the ERS(eibach race springs)are the "generic" springs. Since I got custom spring rates I beleive im getting the "ERS" ones.

Something to the effect that the track/school kit used a slightly stronger shock body designed more for race use. Something to that effect, but the street/track was more than sturdy enough.

Koni makes a great shock. Those camber plates look better than the old GC ones that used to crack the strut towers.
At least those shocks are a bit cheaper than the ones I have here right now:
