Do any of you buy your audio stuff online??

I was just about to, but then I talked to someone from Tweeter and he said it was a bad idea because if anything is wrong with it it's a HUGE hassle to ship it back and whatnot and also that Tweeter wouldn't be able to help me out either if I don't buy from them... do they just want my money or is there some validity to what they're saying? Also, can you give me some site that you guys have bought audio stuff from that you trust? Thanks in advance!

I would only buy from places like crutchfeild, but they don't carry high end car audio brands...Tweeter is right though, no retailer is gonna help you no further then a 1-800 number if you bring some broke ass equipment to them that they didn't sale you.

But DAMN, the W7 is 300 more at Tweeter! I just don't know if I can justify that price... :-( By the way, what is the name of that interface that we can use to keep the steering wheel control function w/ aftermarket head unit? I have a kenwood kvt911... thanks!

I bought a couple things from sounddomain.com, and I did have to send something back. It is a huge hassle not to mention it took them weeks to send me my new amp. In the end, it took about 2 months for me to finally get what I really wanted. I wouldn't do it again unless it's a great deal.

If its a w7 buy from a local shop! buy tweeters warranty too! you don't wanna have to ship that heavy bastard back to JL!!!

With my luck the thing will arrive with a huge crack or something... thanks guys! Gotta save up for that sucker now!

which size are you getting? I have a 13.3 W7 on display, but I haven't got the JL 1000/1 yet that it needs to be pushed by. What amp you gonna use? Xtant is probably what tweeter showed you...

The guy convinced me that it's the best sounding one. I'm also planning on getting the JL 1000/1 since I want an all JL setup in the trunk (I have a 300/4 running my speakers)... but ya, Tweeter DID try to convince me to get Xtant. I just thought that JL was a better bang for the buck. How much did you get your W7 for?

I think the JL cost $899 or $799...dealer cost is like $350-$400.
