as for your breakfast, it sounds good to me. you can drink it right when you wake up. the only time you should worry about your liver is if you are taking in too much protein for your bodyweight.
because when you wake up your breath stinks

You have to keep in mind foods are not "good" or "bad" I have different approved food list for each client based of the diet I design for them, and there goals. Some are never allowed to touch fat, others MUST have high fat for the diet to work (cheese, sausage, pepperoni, beef, egg yolk, coconut oil, olive oil, butter, cream cheese, ect...)

Fruit may be "healthy" but based on your goal when dieting, it can be the failing factor. Other diets it may be completely acceptable and encouraged. You have to understand the body to understand what fuel, and WHEN.

Question about cooking in oil, my mom currently uses corn oil, I told her to go to olive for the health benefits. Can someone explain the major differences? How the healthy fats work vs. regular oil???? Thanks, maybe a link to a health site may help..

thanks nick, but my main concern was how the fats work in your body, theres many types of fats, obviously the good vs bad. But how to olive oil fats digest or are used in the body? I read the monounsaturated fats part but can anyone else emphasize this?

Does anybody know of any microwave foods that don't contain 47239847 mg of sodium? When I don't have time to prepare something I'll often have a something like a south beach Pizza, 350 calories, 31g of protein, but even those have plenty of sodium in them.

I made scrambled eggs today with tuna + melted cheese. basically just fry the tuna for a little bit, then put them on a plate with slices of cheese on top, then microwave it for 1 minute, meanwhile make the scrambled eggs, and then eat it... OMG it was soo delicious... i used pepperjack for cheese... best breakfast ever........

i work out at night usually from 9PM - 11 or 11:30PM (due to work and school schedules) and i have a protein shake afterwards. i usually have a banana and another shake in the morning for breakfast before work. i'm new to the whole protein shake thing, so does anyone see a problem with have two shakes so close together or even a problem with working out so late in the day? thanks

what do you mean with so close together? how long do you sleep? i usually sleep 6 hours, sometimes I wake up after 3 to make a shake, drink it, and head back to bed

I would get yourself a protein blend powder for your pwo shake consisting whey/casein, or mix the whey with milk. Gotta make sure you're getting some carbs as well. I'm usually all for just whey directly pwo, but since you workout so late, I think a blend would be better for your situation to help sustain you during sleep, while still having that fast absorbing whey. I would also make sure to eat a whole meal before going to bed... cottage cheese and such to further improve recovery during sleep.
