Road America with Windy City BMW

Anyone going to Road America with Windy City BMW CCA in April?

Will be a fun time and hopefully the weather will be a little better than last year.

It's an annual tradition and can't be missed. Usually my first event of the year, but this year there are several before that to attend.

I too hope the weather is better than the 140 MPH snowstorm of last year.

Are you an instructor there? I think we might have met at Siebkins last year.

Hi Matt,
I am the guy that you met last year. You have a really good memory. I assume that you still have the RX-8 and will be bringing it again this year?

See you both then.

Yep, still have the RX-8 and I'll be bringing it this year.

Maybe we'll see you at Siebkins the night before.

Windy City BMW is definitely a great group to run with.

Why is this driving school 3 or 4 times as expensive as the ones sponsored by SCCA?

I can't say for sure because I don't know about SCCA DE's, but it may be because this one is a 2 day event. Also, it's a whole experience with BMWCCA, not just the thrill of driving.

What SCCA driving school are you talking about?

This is two days at Road America for $395. Are you telling me the SCCA will give me two days at Road America, with instruction, for $100-150?

If so, that is an amazing deal.

I think I'm also going to Gingerman on 4/2 with the Chicago VW group. Think the snow will be off the ground by then? It's a 1 day event, $150...

I might also head to Mid-Ohio the week before Road America with NASA. I joined that group as well and will try to hit as many days as possible.

Bah - no driving for me for a while. Decided against the roll bar for the time being, and decided to get a HANS and the new camlock Schroth harnesses that are HANS certified (which aren't out until April). I don't think I'll hit anything untl summer.
