Steering wheel trim paint

Just bought a '01 330i sport sedan 5spd. The steering wheel trim with the "double" or split spoke at the bottom has some paint worn off. What can I use to repaint it so it will match the rest of the trim?

Sure, why not? Chalk board paint looks pretty close to the OEM finish. Yours is black right?

Yes it is black. Trouble is the top section with the radio/cruise controls is perfect, guess I would have to paint the whole thing?

I would, I tried wrapping mine in cf vinyl wrap and it didn't go well I can get some pics of the chalkboard paint from my shifter and door handles. (I hate wood grain)
