eisenmen exhaust question!!!

I just installed the eisenman exhaust race edition tonight. Waited for almost two months and its finally here. But one thing I noticed its not really that loud. Is it because I have to wait for it to break in??? Anyone on these forums installed the eisenman exhaust for the 6? And anyone familar with the brand??? It seems doesnt really worth that much $$$. But as far as for looks, I am very satisified for it.

But, I think it sounds not much different from the stock right now. Is it gonna be a lot of difference after 500-800 miles? I think I am gonna replace the resonator to make it louder? Would you suggest me to do that? or wait for it to break in.

Don't touch the resonators yet. Its really an night and day difference after the break in! Go drive

sorry i have so many posts i just realized that......it seems somehow the numbers multiplied from my one response. I guess its my bad or something. Anyway good luck im sure ur Exhaust will open up real nice, but let me know if it ends up getting pretty loud, as i am looking for a sporty but somewhat stealthy exhaust

I have the race and although I am happy with it, it isn't nearly as loud as I thought it would be...

i remember hearing another fanatics' eisen exhaust once when i was on the freeway and it was very very loud. it was in traffic and there was i think a good 3 or 4 lanes between my car (windows closed) and his exiting, and when he floored it, i heard him and that was the only reason i knew he was there. so, i dunno, from what i remember, it is not just loud. it's very very very very very loud. o, it was on a m3 though, not sure if it would be different for a 6er

what's the difference between sport and race? and why on earth would you want a 6 series to have a loud exhaust?

Hi Miao,

I bypassed my resonator and it sure opens up the sound of the eisenmanns, it is louder and more throaty. And it sure sound agressive, but the drawback is that there will be some cabin resonance between 1,800rpm-2,300rpm.
