Where to get an oil access door?

My car is missing the oil access door. Is there any place i can get one aside from the stealership? I have looked at most of the parts places and the door is not listed.

You are going to have to get it from a dealership as it is an OEM part.

Try one of the online BMW dealerships that offer internet prices.

Somewhere there is a HUGE pile of these things that once used to be on cars. This is like losing socks in the laundry. Are these doors actually present on the car to begin with?

Think many cars were never supplied with the door. It took 2 attempts to get the correct one for a 2003 330i. But when I went to install it there was no (speed)nut in the place to screw it on. That's why I believe they were never installed from the factory.

Now that you mention it, mine lacks any speed nut to fasten the door to.

I believe it is only on the verts & coupes. There is a structural aluminum plate below the oil pan to add rigidity to the frame. There is an oil drain access panel in this plate (or there is supposed to be).
