Replacement of a Coolant Expansion Tank - Guidance

Hello -

I own a 2004 BMW 330ci SMG and this weekend I followed a handful of youtube DIY videos on the replacement of a coolant expansion tank.

I was able to remove all hoses to the expansion tank except for the hose towards the bottom of the expansion tank (beneath this particular hose is found the blue valve that drains the expansion tank). I was able to release the hose clip but the hose would not budge.

The bottom the expansion tank also connected to a base. Additionally, the tank connected to a hard plastic liner.

Bottom line is that after trying for an hour to detach the remaining hose and pry it from the connectors at the base of the tank, I gave up.

Has anyone removed a coolant expansion tank successfully (for an SMG) and might be able to provide some guidance/suggestions on how to: 1) detach the hose that I described above and also how to free the expansion tank at its base and the plastic liner.

Thanks in advance for any guidance/suggestions!

i removed it by pulling on the hose while i used a flat head to pry it out.it popped out very easily i also did this with the upper radiator hose. Once you remove the clip that holds the expansion tank to the base. Pull straight up Very hard while wiggling it. Eventually it will come out
