E90 Coupe with new 300HP turbo engine

Check the article below the new E90 Coupe will have a 300HP turbo engine. This engine will also have 300LBs-FT torque.

I wonder how close this car will be to the current E46 M3. I know the aftermarket comunity will love this engine.

I read about it last week. 300lb of torque is impressive. I totally hate the look of the car though. Its looks to big and the back is just hidious. I do like the engine though. About time they tried something new. Only problem with a turbo is cool down time required and also Maint costs. I believe a turbo only lasts around 70K miles give or take. I feel bad for all the people who buy this car used. Turbos are not cheap. But I will say that many people are going to be pushing some sick HP with that engine with some mods.

yeah, wow, cant wait. probably a turbo upgrade will increase turbo lag tho, which bmw says is eliminated in the stock form

I'll have to reserve judgment until I see it in person. I didn't like the E90 sedan pictures but I liked the actual car when I finally saw it. The same thing happened with the Cayman.

I'd have to say that the new styling looks pretty fugly to me. I hope when it's released they change the wheels and other subtle things and maybe - just maybe it might be passable. The new 3 sedans look great depending on wheel combo, or horrible again depending on wheels... And not for nutin' the Acura RL is looking pretty damn sexy imo...

US will not see the turbo
The new desighn is very poor
BMW is using the same frame as the sedan to save money
Too long to be a attractive coupe
Almost 300 lbs heavyer than the current platfrom
The new M should be the largest and heavyest 3 in the history of the marque
The BMW cars continue to grow in size and weight

Not impressed.
Buy a 1 series 330i if you can import it.

This sadens me greatly.
