that's because tirerack is a joke like car and driver where they factor in price in the ratings...

I have to disagree with you guys, no offense, but I have the same tires and I have to say they grip. If I can go on the autobahn over 120 mph and not worry about gripping issues. Tires are quite and they sure grip in the snow also. I guess you also have to factor in the road surface also.

Wrong...

In our *tests* price is not factored in. In the *survey* results that you are referring to we simply report the results of the surveys without tampering with them. This is still a fairly new tire, give it some time to see where it will shake down over the longer term.

My Ride: is dirty
These tires are very good and they have excellent grip (albeit there are tires that grip better, but they cost more) Plus, these tires are very quiet and still has reasonable grip in light snow.

I have these tires as well, I wasnt expecting much from them but they do grip quite well. I are they as good as the dunlops, no but for the money they are a pretty good deal.

They probably wont be ranked Number 1 for long since they barely have that many owners. You have to look at how many people responded.

I just got 4 of these tires installed in my car. They are very quiet and much better than the previous Dayton tires I had. Also you cannot go wrong with the price on these.

I can totally feel the difference and I'm very happy I got these.

they grip better, i dont hydroplane at 70 in the rain anymore, they GRIP BETTERERER lol, zero noise, and the somewhat soft sidewall helps with that

I second dave12345. Got the general because of the good ranking and price. I'm very pleased with the tires.

I had these tires and had no problems with them. The guys on here are tire brand snobs and think if it doesn't say Michelin the tire sucks

i did the exact opposite.... i go for the cheap wiht great ratings im not paying 1500 for tires cuz they have pirelli or michelin on them

i have viking snowtechs (continentals brand name in europe) and am more than pleased wiht them.... and hardly anyone heard of them
btw they have 90% tread after 7000 miles from first week of december to last monday (i could be wrong thinkin 90s good but i thought snows were only good for 15k so theoretically they shoulda been around 55%)
