R u joking

The ancestors of Turks had ruled the eastern part of the Continent for more than 400 Years...Enough ? Istanbul has been Europe's one of most important cities for more than 2000 Years, a Turkish territory for more than 6 Centuries...Enough? Turkiye is in negotiation with the European Union for full accession to the membership...Enough?

it is the way of thinking that makes someone european, not the geological/national borders. i am not sure if the mainstream turkish moral concepts fit into the rest of europe. the future will show.

since when was byzanz aaeehh, constantinople aaeehh istambul turkish

ciao claus

hit the 'm' instead the 'n' - probably symptomatic because of my car.

anyway, knowing how to spell a cities name ist definetly no quality feature for knowing a country and its culture.
but its true, i do not know turkey well, but i know europe quite well.

ciao claus

Mmm...Values, way of thinking, moral concepts... Do you include systematic extermination of Jews, humiliation of gypsies and other minorities in your common values Blue Rabbit ? Or do you include 100 Years of religious war in your heritage ?
Another question, since when your women are allowed to vote in the elections, or allowed to be elected ?
Since when..eeeaamm.. there is a country named Germany ..eeeaamm 100 or 200 years

If the most crucial concepts of Europeanization are equality, solidarity, liberty and democracy...,

Please act in accordance with these concepts. Otherwise, I cannot call you a European...
