Black exterior trim and tire treatment

I purchased my 02 325xi over the winter, and living in Oregon with it raining basically from October to May I haven't been too concerned about detailing, however its starting to get sunny, and the swirls and bad shape of the exterior is starting to bother me. So I am about to place an order for my detailing package.

I am planning the following for the paint:

Klasse All-In-One
Menzerna FMJ
P21s Wax

However my question is what are the best reccomended products to use for the black exterior trim pieces along the doors, back bumber, roof rail, window seals, rear view mirrors, etc.

I got a set of the nice black rubber floor mats from the 7-series from a friend that works at the local bmw dealership, he cleaned them up nice and shiny before he brought them too me, when I asked him what the product was, he said it isn't labeled at all.

Also what is the best looking and longest lasting product for treating the tires for that slick wet look?

I noticed one problem with the package listed above. You stated that the swirls are bothering you. Swirls are caused by very fine scratches in the surface of the paint. For swirls to be removed you need to use a product with an abrasive in it. This will smooth and level the surface and create a ready to wax finish. Menzerna FMJ followed by P21S wax is an excellent choice. I would just switch the Klasse AIO with a product like Menzerna Final Polish. If you have any other questions fell free to ask.

303 Aerospace Protecant is a great water based protectant. The problem with water based protectants is that they don't have the high shine or the durability of the solvent/silicone based dressings. Water based dressing are also safer and better for plastics and rubbers. With tires you don't have to worry about this unless it is a collects car. The tires will porbably wear aout before the silicones cause any damage. If you are looking for a high shine gel (silicone) tire dressing I carry one from Eiman Fabrik thats is super shiny.

Poorboy's Bold n Bright for shiny tires. Just apply them evenly and leave it there for maximum shine

I'll pick up some of the 303. Which should be a good all around internal/external vinyl / plastic protector. It it doesn't last long enough for my liking on the wheels I'll look towards a silicone based product.

What are the diferences between the Menzerna FMJ vs. the Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze? The are both basically a glaze/sealant correct? Or if I went with the FMJ should I use a the finishing touch glaze prior?

I might as well do it right with initially:

Menzerna Intensive Polish
Menzerna Finishing Polish II
Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze (not sure if needed?)
Menzerna FMJ
P21S

Then to maintain every few months I could cut out the intensize polish and the glaze, getting it to a 3 step process.

They are both great products. I thing the FMJ is a little easier to work with but the Klasse may have a tiny bit more durability. I would follow either with a coat of Carnauba like P21S for extra POP. Just remember the Carnauba needs to be reapplied often. The sealant will last for months but the Carnauba will not.

You can definitely get it down to a great 3 step process
