As a coupe lover I can't believe I'm saying this but the sedan looks better. The folks at bmw are obviously afraid to take chances with this car and have missed the boat. All because of undue criticism about the new design themes. You guys need to let bmw know the 645 has grown on you and it's okay to use some of those cues on the e92.

I have to agree with platinum. "Most" of us disliked the 5 series as well as the 6 series when they both came out, but I've seen a lot of people come around, just as I suspect a large amount of people will with the E90. But with the E92, it appears that BMW was overly conservative with the design. Perhaps because the 3 series is their best selling model, BMW wanted to keep the design conservative to appeal to a broader range of customers. But the whole conservative design philosophy isn't the BMW I know, because they are supposed to be known for pushing the envelope and progressing forward with new designs.

The major problem with this E92 is that when I look at it, or if I saw it on the highway, I wouldn't immediately say "That's a BMW." Earlier generations of BMW's are unmistakable in their design. The E90 and E92 are a different story...

guys you are forgetting...

when the e46 coupe's first pics came out back in 98 everyone was saying the same thing. I remember, there wasnt any bmw forums around either.. i believe it was only roadfly.com. Everyone was saying that BMW lost it and the car looked too nerdy/girly. But as soon as the car launched in the states and the sports pkg came out (stock 17's was a big deal back then, lol) everyone fell in love with it.

As for these pics.. i get that same feeling from 1998..

we all have to honestly wait for the official sports pkg pics with some 18's and when they lose that 4x4 stance in these pics.

This sh!t will look sik as fuk as soon as its modded... haters, hate on.. but you know it!!

The back looks like a Hyundai Sonata, it's way too long, and the front doesn't look mean at all.
