yea i heard about that, My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. He was a young guy too, only 30 years old.

I saw the replay of it, and from what i saw it appeard that Ed Carpantier spun going into turn #2. The caution lights came on, everyone slowed up but for some reason Paul Dana didn't. He ended up broadsiding Carpantier car. Not a pretty sight at all. Its always a sad day when a meber of the racing community loses their life.

RIP
Paul Dana

He will be missed. I remember watching him a few years back at the Indianplois 500 practice when he crashed hard and was injured there.

sad. i don't know why he did not slow down, or why his crew chief told him to go left, rather than go high.

Tragic...at least it was instant, it would have been horrific if it was a long drawn out death.

RIP

Luckly, both were not killed. Very horrific accident. Very sad. RIP. Our company publishes IndyCar Series Magazine, and we work very closely with the series and teams. Many people here knew him pretty well. Tragidy.
