let me correct myself: they let bangle have heavy influence in the design of their latest series.

how's that?

really? (now, serious)

i knew he was part of the team that had some say in the E46 design but he was not actively involved.

and i thought that was affirmed here on the forums.

well, then i stand corrected for sure.

(now, not serious)

back at you and an icon for "slap to my own forehead."

take care.

He wasn't head of design at the time (...as far as I know), but the team that he was a part of were active in the design. There was an interview with C.Bangle that confirmed his involvement. I briefly recall a few threads with regards to Bangle's involvement w/ the E46, but the misinformation was abundant, so I took what was said with a grain of salt (..and I still do under most circumstances). The interview with Bangle cleared up everything for me.

I feel an early release looks like it could be ready when the coupe arrives, but BMW is known for late releases. so more than likely 2007

I have already mentioned that he wasn't Head of Design. What more would you like me to say? The fact is that he was still part of the design team that coined the E46, and I believe that he had a decent amount of influence on the E46 as well (...especially considering the fact that he was promoted shortly after, and promoted again after the release of the current BMW cars).

Look at the lines where the front quarter panel meets the pillar..the lines don't connect and you'd never see this on a car

That car is slammed. I hope the M3 will look like this. Atleast its better than the E90's so far.

And to the smart guy who says there are E90 coupes on the streets of Europe...There are no E90 2 doors as of yet. Think just for a minute. Wheres the autoshow unveiling??? If they release a new version of their best selling car, BMW would by hyping it up EVERYWHERE. They are not available on any BMW website either. Still selling E46 coupes. You know how they hype up cars on the website with crazy flash and everything before they become available. No official photos have been released either. Seems to be a ways away still. Knowing that, the M3 has to be even further down the road. Cant wait to see some E90 coupe pictures unveiled.
