Hey jlevi,
Can you explain this mod in detail. I am thinking about taking this route also since i dont have enough money to buy a ready made kit. Like where can i buy the highline exhaust and tips and will the pipes be welded and made at the muffler shop. Thanks.

Eric

Keep the pics comming.....these rides look good with dual exhaust.

Highline exhaust is coming out in about a month - we're exclusive on it right now
I will find out about getting extra tips for you.

You basically want to take the muffler to a good exhaust shop, have them hack off the pipes right after the flanges at the headers, and fabricate custom piping all the way to the muffler. I had this done and added in center resonators for very, very inexpensive. Then, they will weld on the muffler to the new pipes, then do what you see under bluecougars car - branch out of one of the pipes, maybe put another resonator in there (since there's no muffler on the right side), run the pipes over, fork them, and weld on the tips. All done.

I'm having it done on Saturday

jon, what is the running rate for four tips? I have a hamann exhaust and will just leave on the muffler from that exhaust if possible but would like to use matching tips (thus buy four of the highline ones)

If you're interested in some tips, there's a bunch of different styles you can get from magnaflow. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/02tips.asp
