Basement remodel....

Well guys im just about finished my basement renovation back home in NH and i was looking to get a flat panel tv thats a no larger than 23" and under $1000. I just wired the whole basement for my stereo: Boston Acoustics VR-20 Front speakers, Cambridge Soundworks Satellites for the rear, and Harmon Kardon AVR-20? (I think thats the model number) All the wiring is hidden along the baseboards with white tubing. I also just bought an Olhausen pool table last Saturday and gets delivered today. My father won a beer vending machine with the Red Sox championship picture on it that kicks a$$!!! Sorry for the rant but im very excited this has finally been about finished because it has taken over 10 years to finish this project

So my question for you all is whats the best lcd tv for under $1000?

Get something bigger. Is this going to be used for movies?

No movies....just for casual use, such as having it on in the background while playing pool so we can see the sox

and pats or whatever....

If you are using it for casual viewing, I would go larger and sacrifice quality if on a budget. I bought a 23" Panasonic for my Master nightstand to view my security cameras and I love it, but in a room like yours, I would go to like a 30" non HDTV or non-name brand. In this case (more than 10ft away) size is more important than quality (within reason.)
