Ok, guys, after some serious consieration and much dreaming, i was able to get a spectacular deal on a very clean 2003 m5

and pulled the trigger on it. attached are a few pics of the new beast. once i sell http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...1&aff=national my ZHP i will probably be spending less time here but it was definitely great being a part of this community and I will miss it. suggestions for good e39 m5 forums will be appreciated. i have currently joined the m5board which is pretty good but nowhere nearly as much activity as here..

congrats on the ride. If i were you, I would just stay on this forum as there is such a smaller pool of 5 series drivers that care as much about their cars as there are for the 3 series... its simply because of the higher price tag and the typical age/reason for buying of the 5 series

Hey guys, thanks for the kind comments. I have to say, I have been enjoying it quite a bit. I have two bent rims so I have to deal with that on my own here shortly.

The car is a 2003 with almost 30k miles now. It is sterling gray on the outside, black inside, with park distance control, rear and side sunshade, m-audio upgrade (that will be gone soon) and fold down rear seat.

The car is a six speed manual. The first owner installed a rogue engineering weighted short shifter and that is it for mods.

I must say that the zhp is a bit easier to drive and the shifter is much much smoother (as the m5 shifter is very notchy). However having almost twice the hp and torque cant be ignored even if the car is about 600+ lbs heavier.

Also, I really do plan on staying here as this forum cannot be replicated in terms of support. And that is what I really like here

. I will have a couple of things for sale if you guys are interested (will list separately).
