E46 Double DIN bezel for sale - $75

For sale: E46 double din bezel originally purchased from mybimmer.net and the carrier you'll need to move the AC controls. Just removed the stereo installation from my E46 as I'm selling the vehicle. The bezel has a small scratch (<1cm, hardly noticeable, see photos) on the right side. Would sell both for $125 plus shipping (or $75 for just the bezel). I'll throw in the BMW wiring harness if you purchase both. Please call (703) 864-6456 or email luszcz.joshua@gmail.com if interested.

I had my local Audio shop do this install on my 325xi Wagon and now I have no air at all at the drivers feet. They say the damper needed to be closed. Can you confirm if this is the case?

From everything I've read, I'd say they didn't do the flappers properly/at all. Should still have it, even if not as strong as previously. Show them this thread and tell them to fix it lol

According to the Janus instructions, the flappers are cut in half, and then put back in place, which would allow it to come through. I know reading a few pages of Double Din threads people have talked about it working fine. Chances are that they just are inexperienced with such an install, and didn't realize it would be modified to work? Not sure, hopefully someone with more experience on it can chime in.

Can the flappers then still be operated with the controls. They are talking about taking out the flapper all together leaving a constant (reduced) flow of air at the drivers feet.

just spoke with an installer and he did an M3 recently.. had to remove swing arm for the flapper.
said you can either have it left open or closed
i did see online a guy that created a brace for the swing arm so it would run over or under the deck.. can't remember... searching for the link as we speak

In the Janus kit, is an extension for the arm, that swings it behind everything, leaving function. Here's a link to the manual:

Hi I am wanting to install a double-din like you have here in my 2000 E46 Sedan. I know where to buy the bezel and what stereo I am going to buy. But I am wondering where to buy the wiring harness to connect the stock wiring to the aftermarket head unit?

I am looking at buying this head unit:
